Since this blog is about rants *and* raves, it’s time for a rave! Today’s rave is for 16-year-old Michael Sass, his 14-year-old brother, Steven, and their buddies. They live in North Tonawanda, New York. These industrious young adults took advantage of the snow to make a snow castle in their front yard by packing snow into recycle bins to make bricks. This seems like an excellent idea for many reasons: it gives them something to do when they’re not in school, they’re helping out neighbors by getting snow out of their yards, it’s good exercise, they're having fun, and they’re protecting Mom and Dad’s windows from getting hit with snowballs. Plus, it looks cool. I especially like how they put lights on it. The bar is great, too. You just know that all the neighborhood kids want to play at their house right now. According to the weather forecast, they’ll have plenty of building material to work with!

As Bill and Ted might say, "Rock on, North Tonawanda dudes!"
I'm upstairs waiting for the blizzard to blow my windows to pieces. But I wanted to thank you for the video. Way cool!

OMG. I'm so jealous of their talent. That. Is. Awesome.
ReplyDeleteIs there a hot tub in the castle?
ReplyDeleteHot tubbing while it's snowing is great! If the boys put one in the castle, though, would the walls melt? I think they need to start making some snow furniture for the rooms.
ReplyDeleteOMG....creative geniuses...!!!
